There is this awesome little ghost town about an hours drive from our house. We have been here 10 years now and this is the first we've been.  We loved it and will be going back.

Pumpkin Patch

My sister and dad planted a pumpkin patch again this year. This year isn't turning out as well as last year. They have run into a few problems. Ton's of squash bug and squirrels. The vines are thriving but all of the pumpkins are being eaten. They did make this awesome scarecrow though!

Fire Lake Reservoir

This week for summer fun Thursday we went to Fire Lake reservoir in Ivins. We swam, had lunch and tried kayaking for the first time. So glad we choose a spot with water.  It was 110 degrees!  

Summer Science

What kind of science works great in 110 degree weather? How about a solar cooker! 

4th of July

The 4th of July was never one of my favorite holiday's growing up. Fireworks were illegal where I grew up and I don't remember and community activities. Since we have moved here the 4th has become one of my favorites. We have started so many new traditions. Parades, games, BBQ's, fireworks and so much fun spending time with family and friends. This year was no exception. 

Summer Sports Camp

Camp three this summer was a two week sports camp. The played a different sport everyday.  Chase had a great time, especially since is buddy Jake was there. Today was the last day so they played water games and water kickball. 

The Kindness Rock Project

We have been doing our part this summer and having so much fun! The idea is to hide painted rocks around your community for others to find. You can keep the rocks you find and paint one to hide or re-hide the one you found.  So far we are just hiding we haven't found any but still having fun. 

Day Trip

Chase had an 18 level computer program he had to complete over the school year.  His reward was a trip to Dave & Busters in Vegas. We had a blast!

Birthday Pedicures

We headed out to lunch for Ryan's 39th birthday today and somehow during lunch we started a conversation about pedicures. We decided that we all wanted to get one. The boys too! It was Ryan and Chase's very first pedicure. They can't wait to go back.
