The Story of Scrubs

As most of you know we used to have a Golden Retriever named Widget. Unfortunately when she was about seven months old we had to get rid of her because Ryan was having Asthma problems from all of her fur! (Don't worry she went to live with a Veterinarian in Vegas on a ranch. We hear she loves the horses.) We were very sad about this but really weren't ready to get another dog right away. We had to find the perfect dog for us. Mainly one that doesn't shed much! I looked on line for months researching types of dogs that are best for families with allergies. There are only eight types that are recommended.(Golden Retrievers are not one of them!)
Here is the list that I found
1. Poodle
2. Schnauzer
3. Shih Tzu
4. Bichon Friese
5. Chinese Crested
6. Malta
7. Peru Inca Orchid
8. Terrier
Even after doing research for a few months we weren't really looking to get a new dog anytime soon. It's kind of nice not having to worry about going on vacation and finding a dog sitter or cleaning up dog poop! Of course I still liked to look every once in awhile at the local shelters and rescue centers to see what animals came in. Maybe we would get lucky! Last week I was searching http://www.petfinder.com/ and there was a pure bread Schnauzer up for adoption! I couldn't believe it, I rushed down there but by the time I got to our local shelter he was already spoken for. Around here you rarely find a pure bred dog in the shelters. I was crushed and stopped looking but later that week my friend Grace called me and said that she had stopped by a adoption day event! So we drove over to look at the dogs. I never thought I would be bringing one home it's very hard to find a allergy friendly dog you can adopt!
But.....
To my surprise we found Scrubs!!! A 1year old, eight pound, Terrier mix!
Whoo Hoo! Terriers are on the list! We aren't sure what the mix is so everyone please keep your fingers crossed that Ryan will be o.k.

We adopted him through H.A.R.T! http://www.hartofutah.blogspot.com/ We are so excited to have Scrubs as part of our family! Chase loooooves him.

Happy Birthday Aunt Kelli

Kelli turned 32 today(dang we are getting old!) She decided that instead of going out to eat she wanted to go on a picnic with the family! We found a great park with different types of play equipment.
Chase had a blast!
This pipe turned around. He was just a little dizzy! :)
The circle was great too. As you walked around the whole wheel turned.
WHEEEEEE!
Chase spend about twenty minutes under the structure mixing wood chips.
When he was done he said "Order Up!"Then he said "Come get your Frappuccino"
Only my kid would make pretend Frappuccinos. Here is daddy ordering his Carmel Frap, double blended of course.

Easter

Thank you Ryan!!! I was so exhausted and busy from the craft show that when I got home on Saturday night I was asleep by 7. (I had the worst headache!) If it wasn't for daddy we probably wouldn't have had time to dye eggs! Chase had a ball this year with the eggs. He was jumping up and down and squealing he was so excited.
Ryan even made sure that the Easter Bunny knew where to find Chase. (I was still asleep, bad mommy.)
Mr. E. Bunny brought Chase so much! Yep he is spoiled.

Easter Car Show

Every year our town has a car show the weekend of Easter. This year I wasn't able to go but Ryan took Chase and the two of them went with my parents. Must of been a little loud. Even the boy behind Chase has his ears covered.
Hopefully this inspired my husband and dad to finish the truck sitting in my parents garage.
Chase was taking it all in, he loves cars.
This was Ryan's favorite. I don't think it counts, it's not old enough!
