Lemonade Stand

This past week Chase and Grandpa have been working together building a lemonade stand. Chase came up with the idea himself and told us that he needs to start saving money for college. Good thing he is only 5, we have along time to save.

He helped paint, glue and he even used the drill! The final product turned out amazing. I think they did an excellent job. I hope Chase ends up loving building things, just like his Grandpa.

The morning of the sale was awesome! We had so many happy and CUTE customers. Thank you everyone for coming. Daddy was the first customer. (By the way have I mentioned Chase has a wonderful dad?) Both sets of Grandparents came, not to mention some amazing neighbors and friends.

Thanks everyone for coming! Chase is already talking about having another sale next weekend. At this rate I'm going to have to lower prices! We might even have to start punch cards. Buy 5 get one Lemonade free. What do ya think?

The Zombies are Coming!

The zombies from Plants VS. Zombies (it's a game) have invaded our backyard!!! I sure hope Alyssa and Chase can hold them off! I hear they eat your brains, Yikes!

Happy 4th of July

Here in our little town we have a Freedom Parade every year! This year was awesome, the kids got flags and plenty of candy.

Here are some pictures of our little parade.

Chase's new school had a float as well. They asked all the students if they wanted to ride on it but Chase said "he wanted to get the candy not throw it."

Here he is in a mad dash! He wasn't messing around, he dove right in.

The parade also has a section for the award winners!

WAIT!!! IS THAT??? YES, I THINK IT IS!

IT'S AUNT KELLI! SHE WON THE CAKE DECORATING CONTEST.

She had no idea that she would have to be in the parade. None of us did! She has already told us that next year she isn't going to enter the contest. No more parades for her, haha!

And finally our wonderful fire department! They have been working overtime this year! It seems like the whole state has been on fire at one point!

After the parade we headed to the Cake decorating contest!

The kids both got ribbons for their age groups and won $5 each. It made their day.

Aunt Kelli didn't just win her age group (Adult) she won the whole thing!

When we got home it was time for a little water balloon pinata time with the neighbors!

We had a great morning! Now it's time for a BBQ and a few fireworks.

Cake Decorating Contest

On Wednesday our town is having a patriotic cake decorating contest for the 4th of July.  So we all got to work making cakes. Lets just say Aunt Kelli has been very busy helping these two out.

First we started by mixing and baking,

Chase was our honorary taste tester. He is really good at it.

Alyssa and Chase really worked hard. They did everything themselves, with just a little help from Kelli. I am so proud of both of them.

Tomorrow night we will turn in the cakes for judging. Then on the July 4th they will announce the winners and display the cakes at our community center.

I am making you all wait till the 4th to see Kelli's cake. It is AMAZING!!!
