Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great Thanksgiving with family this year! Both sets of Grandparents and Aunt Kelli spent
it with us. We played a little football and we even put some of our Christmas lights up.
Chase had a blast playing football with Grandpa Warren and Daddy!

Then on Saturday Grandpa Warren came over again and
helped put up some lights on the house. Chase wanted to help!
To bad he can't reach the roof even on the ladder.
Daddy and Grandpa had to finish up.
Our Thanksgiving Holiday was wonderful. I can't believe it is Sunday tomorrow
and it's back to work on Monday!  Hope everyone had a wonderful time with family.

What a Turkey!

How to make Turkey Cookies by: Chase
We got the idea from watching to much Nick Jr.

1. Chase: "We got the sugar and got the eggs."
Mommy: Make sure you add the butter to! Just follow your own sugar
cookie recipe.
2. Chase: "We mixed it!"
Mommy: Chase mixed it all by himself!
3. Chase: "Put it in the frigerate for five minutes."
Mommy: We wrapped the dough and placed it in the
 refrigeration for an hour.
4. Chase: "Then cut our hands."
Mommy: While we waited we traced his hand and cut it out.
5. Chase: "Put our hand onto the cookie."
Mommy: Flatten your dough and cut around the traced
hand, use a little flour so it won't stick.
6. Chase: "Then put it in the oven and bake it."
Mommy :Preheat the oven to 375 and bake for about
9 minutes, or whatever your sugar recipe calls for.
Here is the cookie Chase made all by himself. Not to bad!
7. Chase: "Then put the cookies here (pointing to the tin foil) and decorate
them with frosting, candy and chocolate. We forgot the candy corn beak."
Mommy: Decorate your cookies however you please. As you can see
below this is why I leave the decorating to my sister Kelli!
8. Chase: "EAT IT!!!"
Mommy: YUM!
Happy Turkey Day Everyone!

Thankful For Preschool

Today was Chase's Thanksgiving Feast at preschool, minus the turkey and pumpkin pie. Good thing we will be having both of those on Thursday. :)  The kids sure had a great time and we are so thankful for Chase's teachers they always have great things planned for his class.
What do you think should Chase bring back the Pilgrim look?
or we can go with Ryder's look, a little more Native American?
Hope everyone has a great four day weekend and Thanksgiving Feast with your families!

The Vote

In case you haven't voted yet on who Chase looks like more it's to the right!
{Just click on the circle and then click on vote!}
We thought it might help if you saw a couple pictures of us when we were Chase's age.
My mom thinks I am four or five in the picture below and Ryan is 3 or 4 in his picture. So far I am winning 16 to 1!

Sick of This Place?

NEVER!!!

What fun, we were able to go to Disneyland during our visit to California! Chase went on the Matterhorn for the first time!  Whoo Hoo, I don't think he liked it.  When we got off he said "Mom that ride hurt my back" He is right! That ride is a lot bumpier than I remember. Maybe I'm just getting old but it made me feel better that it hurt his back too!
 Getting ready to ride!
Chase enjoyed the Tiki Room this trip. We stopped by to hear the birds sing and flower croon twice!
During lunch we had soda spilled on us by one of the waiters. Yuck right? Wrong, he felt so bad that they gave us priority seating on the ride of our choice. We picked Toy Story Midway Mania! You can spill soda on us anytime if it means going to the front of the line!
Playing around on the boardwalk at California Adventure! Chase thought these mirrors were so funny!
After we ate dinner we waited around to see World of Color. We had to get some color of our own. To kill some time we played with these glow bubbles! So much fun!

We had a great three day stay in California! Thanks Gram the Great and Aunt Ginny for letting us stay at your house and thanks for coming to see World of Color with us and spending some time with us at Disneyland! We love you guys!

Discovery Science Center

I don't know about you but when we go to California I don't sit still! As soon as we got there Friday afternoon we set off to the Discovery Science Museum to see the "Bug Invasion" they were having for Halloween. We didn't see to many bugs but we had great time discovering everything else.  I love this giant beg board!

 Wind Tunnel
 Chase's mean hockey player face!
No ones getting anything past this goalie.
The Museum is so much fun!

California Candy

We had a great Halloween this year! We were able to go to California and visit Parker and Grant!
We carved pumpkins,
got into our costumes,
and ran around the neighborhood causing lots of trouble.
My sister also made us another amazing cake. If you want to see it go to http://www.kelliskakez.blogspot.com/

Pumpkin Patch 2010

We were in California for Halloween this year but we didn't pass up the annual trip to the pumpkin patch!
We found two perfect pumpkins to take to Parker and Grant's house to carve.
We also had a chance to race a truck! Chase did really well when he was looking forward instead of looking at the kids behind him.
Yeah for Fall! We love our trips to the pumpkin patch.
