Bubble Fest

The community center threw a bubble fest this weekend.

There were a few vendors an some activities for the kids.

Plus the usual Community Center activities.

There were also a few special visitors.

Ice cream from Subzero.

(All that fog just makes me want Halloween to get here!)

and finally the bubbles! Of course my kid wouldn't play in them.

He didn't want to get dirty, geesh.

Thunder Storms

Ryan is back at it again. Every year during monsoon season he is out taking pictures. I think he got some pretty awesome photos this year!

 



Wild Things

Chase just finished up a week of summer camp called The Wild Things. All week they learned about different animals and camping activities. The last day they roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. Another great summer activity, can't believe only one month till school starts.

Scorpion Hunting

We were invited to go scorpion hunting this weekend! It was interesting, fun but a little scary at the same time.

You use a black light to find them! Oh, make sure you wear good shoes. I don't recommend flip flops.

We found about nine big ones and a few little ones we let go.

The scorpions really stand out when you shine the black light on them. They glow like crazy.

July 4th 2013

We started our 4th of July a little early this year because of Ryan's work schedule. We lit our fireworks on Wednesday night so we could all stay up later and not worry about getting up early for work.

Sparkler Fun!!! Chase loved the fireworks this year.

Thursday morning we got up early and headed to the parade.

Chase is getting really good at catching all the candy.

After the parade we set up the lemonade stand. We made red,white and blue star cookies and red white and blue carmel popcorn. Unfortunately it was to hot outside so we only lasted and hour and forty-five minutes.

Since we were so hot we decided to have batting practice with water balloons.
