Ewww Gross!

I am in charge of getting snack this week for Chase's preschool class so in order to be prepared I ran down to the good old Walmart here in town to pick something up. I decided on 15 snack packs of Cheeseitz and 15 pouches of Capri Sun apple juice. Just to let everyone know I rarely buy Capri Suns. I just thought it would be easier for the teachers during snack.  Well by the time I got home the box of Capri Suns was drenched. It wasn't that way when I picked it up in the store so I knew one of the pouches had popped. I opened the box to see who the guilty party was! I found it right on the top! I noticed a small hole in the side of the pouch and immediately saw brown slim oozing out of  it! Gross!!! We cut it open to find this inside...

If you can't tell it is a piece of moldy apple! I am so thankful that Chase or the kids in his class didn't drink them before we saw this! I sent a email to Capri Sun and will call them on Monday when they are open! I will let everyone know what they say! Here is link to another family who also found this in their Capri Suns.

A day of apple picking turned into

this...
We drove to New Harmony this morning to look for an apple orchard that
I found on the Internet but no luck! We found the sign but the gate was locked and no apples to
be found!  Boo! Instead we saw some beautiful landscape.
This field was filled with sunflowers and the sky was so blue!
We also stopped by Kolob Canyon to have a picnic lunch.
After lunch we went on a little hike. (Timber Creek Overlook)
The weather was beautiful only 83 degrees and there was a nice breeze.
We reached the top! Look at this awesome view!
The kid is pretty cute too.
Water break!
Even though we didn't find any apples we sure had fun and saw some beautiful scenery.
I guess we will be searching for another apple orchard!

Happy 4th Birthday Chase

Can I start by saying, I can't believe my son is four!
We had a great day! We had a wonderful breakfast, he requested pancakes!
So we served pancakes with four candles on top and opened a few of his gifts to start the morning.
Check out Ironman! He walked around with the helmet on for about an hour!
After he played with a few of his new toys for awhile we made a quick trip to Walmart to spend the birthday money his grandpa gave him we were off to eat lunch. Pirate Island Pizza was at the top of the list for his birthday.
After we ate daddy showed him how to play air hockey. He did very well.
This is his face after he scored a goal and won the game!
I love this picture, he was very happy to kick his Mommy's butt at air hockey!
After that we decided to win some tickets for prizes!
The little stinker won 1000 tickets his first pull! What a fun birthday surprise!
Showing off his prizes.
Then it was home again to finish off the day with cake and the rest of his presents.
He had a great day! I'm pretty sure he got everything he wanted and more!
What a fun way to spend the day.
Here is a sneak peek of his cake my sister made but I'm going to make you go look at her cake blog
to see the rest of the pictures. It was clever as usual! http://www.kelliscakes.blogspot.com/.

Party at Preschool

Today was a big day for Chase! He had is party for his 4th birthday with his
preschool class.  He was so excited! He wanted his picture taken by the tub of goodie bags!
And of course he had to have a picture taken by these cupcakes! The preschool only allowed store bought goodies so these are just from Albertsons. If it had of been my choice I would have had his Aunt Kelli make something fun! Go check out her cakes at http://www.kelliskakes.blogspot.com/ She does an amazing job!
Sitting with his BFF Ryder! Love these boys!
I'm not even sure who this little girl is but this picture is so cute! Her
mom is gonna love the yellow frosting on her shirt! OOPS SORRY!
The birthday boy! He had a great day at school today!
I can't believe my little baby is going to be four on Saturday! Where has the time gone!
(wait till you see the cake his aunt is making him)

FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL

Chase started preschool on Tuesday the 31st! He was on the waiting list for a whole week! We were lucky it was only a week. Chase, Ryan and I are so excited that he is able to attend this school! They teach Karate and Gymnastic once a week and on top of the regular curriculum they also teach Spanish!!! They take regular trips to the Library and also swim once a month. Whoo Hoo! Here he is eating a healthy lunch before leaving for school!
As most of you know my background is in Education so I searched a long time for a school that I thought had an exceptional program. (I'm a bit of a preschool snob because I was lucky enough to teach at the best preschool ever in California! OCPT has the best teacher's, administrator and program than so many other preschools  I've seen! You know who you are ladies!!!) Thankfully a friend from work told me about the preschool that Chase is attending now! This week the children are learning about the letter B, they are adding band aids to the paper!
Ryder and Chase working on their letter of the week. Ryder is my friends son. It is nice that Chase already has a friend in class! These boys are possibly the two cutest kids in the world, O.K. at least in the class!
Chase and his new teacher Ms. Mary Ellen :)
Chase is so ready for preschool. The night before his first day Ryan asked him "are you ready to go to school tomorrow" Chase replied "No...I want to go right now!" It's going to be a great year!
