Our Many Christmases

So as if my son didn't get enough stuff on Christmas day we still had two more Christmases we had to finish up. On Saturday when we got home from California we celebrated with Ryan's parents. We opened presents and ate a yummy dinner.Chase got a new bike and had a great time playing with his new baseball and baseball bat.

For our dessert we had yet another one of Kelli's famous cakes! A Yule Log.
Then on Sunday morning we had our final Christmas with my parents and sister.
Here is Chase coming out of his room checking out all the presents.
He didn't waste anytime he just dumped his stocking on the floor. I guess since he had already had four Christmases he knew exactly what to do.
His favorites this year were the transformers he got from Santa.
Ever year my dad guesses what he gets from each of us and he is usually right. Not sure how he does it. This year was funny because right before he opened up our gift he told all of us. "This is the only gift I'm not sure what it is." Then after he opened it he says. " Oh, I knew what it was." YEAH RIGHT DAD!!! Whatever you say!
Even though we had a very busy Christmas this year we are extremely thankful for seeing all of our families and spending time with them. Now on to 2010!!!
Happy New Year !!!

California Christmases

Here are the pictures from our three California Christmases. We woke up early on Friday at Allison and Chris's house to open presents from Santa with Cousin Alyssa. Alyssa even had to write a letter to Santa explaining why their Christmas tree and presents were in their office behind closed doors. She wrote " Dear Santa, I have a very bad dog so the tree is in here" Leaving a big X on the paper and then taping it to the door. She then wrote " P.S. don't forget my cousin Chase is here" It was really cute. Here is Chase opening up his presents from Santa. He was very determined this year. He only looked up when he needed help unwrapping.
Alyssa having fun with some of Chase's toys!
Then it was off to Papa Joe's house for breakfast.
Uncle Justin and Chase had a great time with transformers and I'm pretty sure Uncle Justin had more fun.

Chase playing bowling on the new Wii his cousin Elizabeth got for Christmas! He is pretty good!
Daddy was so tired he feel asleep under the Christmas tree!
Then it was off to Orange County to have a Christmas dinner with Great Aunt Ginny and Great Gram. Here is the present that Kelli made for Great Gram. A cake of course! This cake traveled in a cooler in the back of my car all the way from Utah. I was a little nervous the whole way. It has all of Grams favorite things on it. Crossword puzzles, a mystery book, orchids and See's Candies.
Great Gram is 96 and this is the first time I have seen her with white hair! She usually goes every week to get her hair done but isn't able to anymore because of health. I hardly recognized her, she looks so different.
Great Aunt Ginny.

We had a great time in California. It was a short trip but we were thankful to see our families for Christmas!!!

Christmas 5 Times

We had a super busy Christmas this year! We had a total of five! That is just to many. So Christmas eve we drove to sunny (72 degrees) California to celebrate with family. Our first Christmas was at 5:30 a.m. at Ryan's sister's house in California on Christmas morning. Second at Grandpa Joe's with all of Ryan's family and then in the O.C. for a dinner with Great Gram and Great Aunt Ginny! The next day it was seven hours home again and then another dinner with Ryan's parents. Then early Sunday morning we had our fifth and final Christmas of the season with my parents at our home! I will post pictures soon. WE CAUGHT SANTA ON THE CAMERA AT OUR HOUSE!!!

Christmas List

He's making his list and checking it twice!!! Well by now I was hoping to have posted a picture of our son with Santa Claus but it's not going to happen this year. Chase just WILL NOT have ANYTHING to do with Santa. We have tried at least four times at our mall here in town. The best we have gotten is second in line! He won't even look at Santa. Hopefully next year!!! I even found a site online where your child gets a video email from Santa, Chase just backed out of the room! So for this year I hope this picture will do. I love it, every time I look at it I get a good laugh. This Walmart ad came in the mail and for about two weeks Chase carried it around with him everywhere and I mean everywhere. It went to the dinner table, to nap and even to the bathroom.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!

We are finally getting a little snow around here. Not near as much as last year but Chase loves it just the same. He had us up and outside before 7:30 this morning. Here is the view from our front door. Later in the day it began to rain and all the snow is already gone!!!
Here is a picture from last year. As you can tell quit a bit more snow on the ground.

Ginger Bread Houses

This year we went to the Jubilee of Trees here in town. It is a fundraiser for Flight of Life which is a helicopter that transfers children to the Salt Lake City Hospital. Anyway they have decorated trees and a ton of ginger bread house that you can purchase and bid on! Lots of fun, so we decided to make our own ginger bread houses! All of the candies Aunt Kelli bought to decorate the outside.
Chase just needed a little help. He really did a great job.
Adding all the goodies!
He ate more than he put on his house but that's the fun of it!
We all ended up making one! Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Kelli, Chase and I. We had a great time! Below our the finished houses and each one is numbered. We need your help! Please vote for your favorite one and let me know. The winner gets a prize! Just leave your vote under comments on my blog or on face book!!! Thanks and Let the Christmas season start!

Springdale Orchards

This morning we woke up got ready and headed out to Zion to have a picnic and go on a little hike. However, we didn't quit make it there. We spotted a pick your own apple orchard sign on the side of the road and stopped. It was in the little town of Springdale just outside of Zion. We had our picnic there and took some pictures. It was absolutely beautiful, we had a great time and I had way to much fun taking pictures. Chase was hating the camera by the end of the trip!!!Running through the orchard. Gotta find those apples.
Just hanging out under the apple trees. He loved playing in the leaves.

Widget the wacky dog!!! She matched the fall leaves so we took a picture of her too. We tried to get a picture of her and Chase together but that was just not happening. We couldn't get the two of them to stand still at the same time.Reaching for an apple at the top of the tree with a little help from Aunt Kelli.

Just the right height. He got this one!!! To bad it was green and not ripe yet.

What a great day! It is truely amazing how everything changes in the fall. It is my favorite time of the year!

Halloween Night

We had a great Halloween this year! We always do, it is one of my favorite holidays and I love everything about fall. We especially love pumpkins. This year we didn't mess around Ryan brought out his power tools, and Chase really got into it!
He stuck his whole head into the pumpkin and came out with a few pumpkin seeds of his face.
We also always decorate the outside of our home, with a little help from Aunt Kelli.
We had a great dinner thanks to her as well and then went off to trick or treat.
Here is the cake she made.
For dinner we had mummy dogs and spiderweb soup! Thanks Aunt Kelli it was yummy.
After we ate it was off to meet Kernan and Maci for a little trick or treating. We are lucky to have a really great neighborhood a block away. They close the street down and almost every house decorates. My Aunt lives on the street she said that this year they had around 650 kids. I wish some of those kids would stop by our home we only got 20 ghouls and goblins.
This year Chase wanted to be Bumble Bee or Megatron, as you can see Bumble Bee won for Halloween night.
The two cutest Motor Cross Stars, OH, and of course the cutest Bumble Bee.
My cousin Jessica is a photographer and she set up a photo shoot at my Aunts for the kids and their family's. As they came by she would take the children's pictures and then is planning on sending them the pictures. I think it was a great idea and hopefully it will get her a lot of business.
Some of our fancy pumpkin carving!!!

Maybe this is why we didn't get to many kids! Scary!!! Kelli also made this!
Our home all decorated! We had three giant spider and a giant web to the left, two fog machines a bubble fogger, nine pumpkins, bats, tombstones a few candles and some very scary music.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! TILL NEXT YEAR!
