New Tradition

Well, Christmas lights are up on the house,the wreath is on the door and all the decorations are up inside. We are just minus a tree for a week until we get one from Ryan's work, free! Yay for Christmas! This year we decided to start a new tradition in our house, The Elf on the Shelf.

Each book comes with your own family elf that you can name. Our Elf is Jimmy! Throughout the day Jimmy watches over Chase and makes sure he is behaving then at night when Chase falls asleep Jimmy flies to the North Pole and reports back to Santa. Jimmy appeared on Thanksgiving night at our house and Chase wanted to send his letter to Santa with Jimmy back to the North Pole.

The fun thing about the elves is that when they fly back to your house they often get stuck in some awkward places and they love to be silly! You never know where they are going to be. We will have to see what Jimmy has in store for Chase. I will make sure I keep you posted!

Here is where we found Jimmy this morning. Santa sent a candy cane with Jimmy for Chase!

Happy Thanksgiving

Today I'm thankful for the simple things, the everyday things in life we don't think about all the time. Like my job, car, home and my dog. I'm thankful for the safe community my son is growing up in and all of my supportive neighbors! (everyone knows my neighbors are my parents and sister right?)  Most of all I am thankful for my family. My wonderful husband who gets up at 3:30a.m. every morning; he works so hard for us!  Of, course I am thankful for my little man to! He is growing up so fast.

We are so thankful for Chase's school and his wonderful teachers! Ms. Lindsey and Ms. Ashley work so hard everyday to make sure the children are learning and having fun! Thanks ladies we are very thankful for you!

Soccer Trophy

Today was the last game of soccer for the season!

Chase got his trophy and he was thrilled.

Yuck Germs!

Our house has been full of germs since last Wednesday! Yuck! Poor Chase had a fever for two days that turned into a four day flu and of course why not throw in a stuffy nose and cough with that! He has been miserable. However, before he got sick we were able to make this fun Christmas wish list I saw on Pinterest.

I know it is still a little early for Christmas talk but I am putting the blame on the Target toy ad we got in the mail!

What you need for this craft is ribbon, scrapbook paper of

your choice and some small close pins. I just used my glue gun to stick the

ribbon to the close pins.  It's also a great small motor activity for the little ones.

Chase had so much fun! HMMM, I sure hope he doesn't think

Santa is bringing him all these toys!

Yikes, what have I done?

Happy Halloween

I don't know about anyone else but Halloween seemed to last forever at our house. We had a very long and fun filled Monday! We started our day with Chase's Halloween Hullabaloo at preschool. All of his friends came dressed up in their adorable costumes ready to party. These two boys are so cute! Ryder and Chase are inseparable at school. They are great friends!

The mad scientist returned this year and created a future telling concoction. She foretold candy in the near future for all the children. She was right!

Chase really has a great preschool all of his teachers are so creative and come up with so many fun activities for the children.

There is also a trunk or treat every year at the preschool! Thanks teachers for all your hard work Chase loves it!!!

After the Halloween Hullabaloo was over we headed home long enough to eat a little lunch carve a pumpkin and then head to the Fall Festival at our church. The church has a cake walk every year so Kelli, my mom and I each made a cake to donate. I made the bat cake, Kelli made the giant cake in the middle and then my mom made the cake farthest to the right. I promise I made the cake by myself! Luckily Kelli is a great teacher and helped me out when I needed it.

We headed home and arrived just in time to go trick or treating with are awesome neighbors!

Right around the corner from us we have a street straight out of a movie, lined with giant sycamore trees and white picket fences. Every year the street blocks off traffic for trick or treaters. We always have a great time!

We don't know if they secretly planned it or if it was just by coincidence but all three boys from our street dressed up as Ninjas. What a cute bunch of Ninjas!

We ended the night back at our house playing in the fog from the fog machines!

It was a wonderful night!
