Giant Waterbed

We grabbed a bag of clear plastic sheeting and duck tape today at the local Family Dollar store and got to work making our giant waterbed for the backyard. It only cost $8.00 and it was a blast! I found this idea on Pinterest! It was great and super easy, Chase had so much fun. He spent at least two hours outside this afternoon. If you have little guys at your house they would love it.

School Tile Project

Today Valley Academy (Chase's School)  had a tile painting project for the children who are enrolling this year. Since the school is still being built the children each received a tile to paint and soon they will line the halls of the new school! I volunteered to help today and I have to say that there are some very talents kids!
Chase picked an orange tile, and got to work.
He decided to draw a few Angry Birds.
You could also purchase an extra tile.  The money is being used for children in need of uniform money. So we had some fun designing our family tile. We used Chase's hand and arm for the trunk of the tree and then used our thumb prints as the leaves.

I can't wait to see all of the children's art through out the halls of the school.

Let's Bowl

Is it me or does everyone else want to sing the song from Grease 2 every time you go bowling.  " Let's Bowl, let's bowl, lets rock and roll!" Ya know the one I'm talking about?
Recently we took Chase on his first real bowling trip. I say "real bowling" because he has bowled on the Wii quite a few times. Haha! He knew exactly what to do.
We had a great time. Both Chase and Ryan want to go again.
We had a competition between the boys and girls. The teams: Chase and Daddy vs. Mommy and cousin Alyssa. The Boys won! Maybe that's why both of them want to go bowling again.
Bowling wouldn't be complete without playing with the hand dryer. Chase thought it was great.
