Daddy's Work Picnic

We had a great time at my husbands company picnic on Saturday May,16. It was held at a beautiful park that over looks the valley. Here is our son running around in the grass. He had so much fun. He rolled down the hill at least five times. That night he woke up itching around 1am, he had a rash from the grass all over. Poor kid but at least he had fun.The food was great too, they had a BBQ with dutch oven potatoes and for dessert dutch oven peach cobbler. Yummy! We ate and listened to live music from the band they hired. They were really good.
Here he is downing the peach cobbler.

They had a ton of stuff for the children also, jumpers, a petting zoo with baby animals, a horse ride and they even gave each child a kite or ball to play with at the park.

My favorite was that they had our local animal shelter bring some of their adoptable animals. If you adopted one the company would pay for the fees and provide you with all the supplies you need for the animal. Amazing!!! We looked for a dog but they were all big or not good with children. Which is probably why they are at the shelter in the first place. There was a cute little puppy, so sweet, mostly a Pit bull/Lab mix. He was so sweet that I even went back to the shelter on Monday to look at him again but when we got there we found out that he was sick and not up for adoption anymore.

I think we are going to have to start with a small dog anyway, my son kept going back to the baby kittens. " I want a kitty, they are so cuuuuute" He said. We had a great time!
