So this is how it goes! Ten o'clock I hopped into bed start getting cozy, grabbed the Ipad checking out facebook before dreamland. I noticed my lovely neighbor Christy had posted a picture of a fire that read "A little excitement, there is a fire in my backyard". Um wait a second her backyard is pretty much my backyard too! I threw the Ipad and screamed at Ryan "There's a fire in our yard!" We ran outside to find this! Notice how the first thing I did was grab my camera (I think I have a problem)
(this was taken right after the fire started from our backyard)
Well if any of you don't know this I live right next door to my parents and then Kelli my sister lives right above them. The fire looked like it was in Kelli's yard. Ryan threw on a shirt and ran full speed up to Kelli's house. He reached her house before I even got a hold of her on the phone. ( I love my hubby!)
(taken from our front yard)
The next four hours were crazy, fire trucks, police and a ton of people watching the fire flooded our street. I even packed my car I really thought we were going to have to evacuate. This picture is actually from Kelli's driveway. Just so you know how close it was, I didn't use the zoom on my camera at all.
This is my favorite picture. This guy in the truck decided he was going to park right in front of the fire hydrant. Not the brightest guy in town. It was kinda dark so I circled the hydrant.
This shot was from our front porch about two hours later. The fire just continued to roll across the hills.
The fire started when one of the neighborhood kids set off an aerial fire work just before ten. I hope he gets in a lot of trouble. He put so many people in danger! Luckily no houses burned down and everyone is safe this morning but 180 acres burned last night.
What we threw in our cars, haha!
Me: Scrubs!!! Important papers, photos, ipad, camera a few clothes,Chase's baby stuff
Ryan: Nothing he was watching.
Chase: His blanket
Mom: Joey, important papers, clothes, her computer
Kelli: Elsie, important papers, photos, she even packed a suitcase!!!
Dad: He hooked up his BOAT! hahaha!
